Suzi Dilara Mangan received her Bachelor degree in architecture from Yildiz Technical University in 2004. She got the Master degree (2006) from Istanbul Technical University (ITU), Environmental Control & Building Technology Program by her thesis on “Evaluation of Intelligent Building Subsystems: Istanbul Case”. She worked for national and international architectural offices and construction firms between 2003-2009. She has been a BREEAM International Assessor since 2011 and a specialist in Energy Performance Certificate in Turkey since 2013. She received PhD degree (2015) from ITU, Building Science Program with her dissertation titled “An Approach for the Evaluation of the Residential Buildings’ Performances in terms of Life Cycle Energy and Cost Efficiency”. She assigned to be an assistant professor in 2015 at Istanbul Aydin University (IAU). She is presently Vice Dean of Faculty of Architecture and Design and Vice Chair of Department of Architecture of IAU. She has been teaching courses at undergraduate and graduate levels such as Physical Environmental Control Studio, Architectural Design, Ecological Planning, Sustainable Green Urban Development at IAU. She has studies published in several journals, presented in symposiums and congress. Headlines of her research areas are; sustainability in architecture, sustainable energy in buildings, energy efficient building and settlement design, climate responsive design, passive solar building design, building physics, physical environmental control, building energy simulation. She is the member of Building Physics Association in Turkey, Turkish Green Building Council (ÇEDBİK) and TMMOB Chamber of Architects.
